Terms of use
Last updated 18 October 2026
Draft: our business details are still being added to this page.
These terms cover your use of TidyBench at tidybench.app, including the free tools and the TidyBench Pro subscription. TidyBench is run by [LEGAL NAME] (“we”, “us”), [BUSINESS ADDRESS]. By using the site you agree to these terms.
1. What TidyBench is
TidyBench is a set of tools for working with PDFs, images, video and spreadsheets. The tools run inside your web browser. Your files are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to us. See our privacy policy for details.
2. Free tools
You can use the free tools without an account, within the limits shown on each tool, such as how many files or how large a file you can add at once. We may change these limits or the tools we offer over time.
3. TidyBench Pro
- What you get. Pro removes the free limits and unlocks the tools marked Pro, as described on the pricing page.
- Your licence. Pro is licensed to one person. You can use your licence key on any devices and browsers you personally use. Don’t share it or publish it. We may deactivate a key that is clearly being shared.
- Billing. Pro is a subscription that renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. The price is shown before you pay. If we change the price, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time. Pro keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Refunds. Every payment comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee. See the refund policy.
4. Payments through Paddle
Our order process is run by our online reseller, Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for all our orders. Paddle takes your payment, handles VAT and sales tax, issues receipts, and handles customer service questions and returns for payments. Your purchase is also covered by Paddle’s buyer terms.
5. Your files and your responsibilities
- You keep all rights to your files. Because they never leave your device, we don’t see, store or claim any rights over them.
- Only use TidyBench on files you have the right to work with, and only for lawful purposes.
- Check the results before you rely on them, especially for redaction, where it matters that information is fully removed. Keep your original files until you’re happy with the output.
- Don’t try to disrupt the site, get around its limits by automated or abusive means, or copy and resell it.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep TidyBench running and the tools working well, but we can’t promise the site will always be available or free of errors, or that every tool will work in every browser. We may update, add or remove tools. If we remove something that is a main part of Pro, we’ll let subscribers cancel and get a refund for the unused part of their current period.
7. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that:
- We aren’t responsible for losses that weren’t reasonably foreseeable, or for business losses such as lost profit, revenue, data or opportunity.
- Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for Pro in the 12 months before the claim.
If you are a consumer, you also have legal rights that these terms don’t affect.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using TidyBench at any time. We may suspend or end access to Pro if you seriously breach these terms, for example by sharing or reselling a licence key. Where that happens we’ll tell you why.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change significantly affects Pro subscribers, we’ll give notice before it applies to your next renewal.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of [COUNTRY, e.g. England and Wales], and its courts can hear disputes. If you’re a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or EU, you can also rely on the mandatory consumer protections of where you live and bring a claim there.
11. Contact
